Chiropractor adjusting spine Have you recently experienced sudden neck or back pain? Or have you been in pain for quite some time and are ready to get back to feeling better? A chiropractic adjustment with us might just be what you need for overall wellness. Here’s what you should know about chiropractic adjustment for functional medicine.

What is Chiropractic Adjustment?

A chiropractic adjustment is a process of using spinal manipulation to help improve the body’s natural function. It is performed by a trained provider called a chiropractor using proven techniques for increased wellness. This natural treatment is generally preferred by many people who want a drug-free way to improve range of motion, relieve pain, and generally feel their best.

What Are the Benefits of Chiropractic Adjustment?

There are multiple benefits to undergoing a chiropractic adjustment. As we’ve already mentioned, a chiropractic adjustment does not involve narcotics and is incredibly non-invasive. This means that most people are able to return to work or other activities immediately after treatment. It also works fairly quickly. In some cases, improvement is noticeable after only a few sessions. Chiropractic care is also proven and uses many of the same techniques that have worked for patients for decades, which is why most people who undergo the process keep returning even after they feel great as a way of maintaining a high level of wellness.

What to Expect During a Chiropractic Adjustment

If you’ve never had a chiropractic adjustment before, you might wonder what to expect during the appointment. Dr. Nathan Anderson, will ask you a series of questions regarding your current health status to determine if you’re experiencing neck pain, back pain, headaches, shoulder pain, and other related conditions. From there, Dr. Anderson, will look at your spine and posture to determine if any issues are present. During the actual chiropractic adjustment process, you’ll lay on a padded table and the chiropractor will use his or her hands and/or small adjustment tools to manipulate the spine to improve overall range of motion. This is usually not painful and some people even report it feeling a pop or crackle of the spinal joints followed by pain relief.

Effective chiropractic adjustments require an accurate evaluation and prompt care using safe, effective chiropractic techniques.
